ΒΆ1. (C) Poloff delivered reftel information as a non-paper to 
MOFA First North American Division Deputy Director Yamamoto 
17 August.  Yamamoto expressed appreciation for the 
information as well as for U.S. agreement to take a 
case-by-case approach in the event of any medical emergency 
that may arise.  Yamamoto asked whether there was additional 
information that the U.S. was seeking from Japan or if the 
U.S. will be able to proceed with the Uighur relocation given 
Japan's feedback thus far.  Post would appreciate 
Department's guidance in this regard.
