(S) On May 7, Global Affairs officer delivered ref non-paper 
to German MFA Export Control Division Desk Officer Wiebke 
Wacker regarding an Iranian effort to procure 200 pressure 
transmitters from the German firm Armaturenbau GmbH in 
support of Iran's ballistic missile program.  Wacker said 
that she would deliver the ref information to the appropriate 
export controls authorities at the German Federal Office of 
Economics and Export Control (BAFA).  Wacker expects that 
German authorities will contact Armaturenbau GmbH "soon" to 
sensitize them of this procurement effort.  Post will report 
any substantive German response septel.
