1.  (SBU)  The Government of Morocco (GOM) accepted and 
incorporated all of the Department's conformity suggestions 
(Ref A) into the Arabic language version of the Agreement 
Between The Government Of The United States Of America And 
The Government Of The Kingdom Of Morocco Regarding The 
Development And Operation Of A Seismic Monitoring Station In 
The Kingdom Of Morocco. 
 
2.  (SBU) PolOff reviewed the Department's conformity 
suggestions in detail with MFA Legal Division Head Karim Ben 
Sallam and an MFA translator on January 2.  Both MFA 
officials agreed with, and inserted, the changes into the 
Arabic copy of the document.  Ben Sallam received final 
approval of the amendments from MFA Director of Judicial 
Affairs and Treaties Hassan Majidi, who provided official 
authorization for signature.  Post forwarded the revised 
version to NEA/MAG via email (Ref B). 
 
3.  (SBU)   Per Ref C, we will contact the MFA to set a date 
for the signing.  Embassy proposes Ambassador Thomas Riley 
sign on behalf of the United States.
