 ΒΆ1.  (SBU) MOFA Foreign Policy Bureau Deputy Director 
Yoshihiro Nakayama on February 7 thanked Embassy Tokyo for 
the U.S. comments on Singapore,s draft review of the ARF 
paper, the accompanying cover letter from A/S Hill, and the 
nonpaper on the U.S. draft ARF Counterterrorism and 
Transnational Crime (CTTC) Workplan.  Nakayama said MOFA 
would study the documents carefully and conveyed his 
appreciation for the information.  He pledged to follow up 
with Embassy Tokyo should MOFA need any clarifications.
