(U) P/E Chief delivered ref A points regarding representation 
at the May 3 meeting of the International Compact with Iraq 
(IRI) to MFA State Secretary Igor Ilievski on April 10. 
Ilievski said he would discuss Macedonian attendance at the 
meeting with FM Milososki, but made no commitment regarding 
eventual high-level attendance.  P/E Chief followed up with 
MFA State Counselor Vasko Grkov on April 17, using points 
drawn from the Secretary's message regarding IRI attendance 
(ref B).  Grkov said no decision had been reached yet on 
attendance, but hoped to give us a definite response by April 
20, which we will report septel and via email to NEA/I 
Assistant Senior Adviser for the ICI, Kevin Taecker.
