¶1.  (C) Taiwan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) 
Department North American Affairs met with AIT/T/Econ on 
January 17 to deliver talking points/non-paper updating the 
status of Taiwan's trade, travel and financial sanctions 
against North Korea and Iran.  Highlights include that the 
Sensitive Commodities List (SCL) of items that need an export 
license for export to North Korea or Iran is now up to 542. 
(These are in addition to items under Strategic High-Tech 
Commodities (SHTC) export control.)  Taiwan has added the 
U.S. Treasury Specially Designated Nationals and Blocked 
Persons list to the exporters self-regulation reference 
blacklist.  Taiwan will deny visas to RJ Jang Won and his 
colleagues from KOMID-affiliated Tosong Technology Trading 
Corporation.
