Poloff delivered talking points per reftel on November 1 to
the MFA's Supervising Director for Multilateral, Passport and
Legal Affairs, Kwesi Quartey. Quartey said although he was
not aware of any KOMID activities in Ghana, the GOG would not
hesitate to support the U.S. position in denying the DPRK
access to conventional arms and missiles. Quartey noted that
although Ghana maintains diplomatic relations with the DPRK,
that nation closed its embassy in Accra years ago and now
covers Ghana regionally from Abuja.
