1. (C) Summary:  Total headcount of U.S. citizens receive in 
Cyprus as of 1700L was 6869, and we anticipate another 2,825 
to arrive in the next twelve hours.  1,226 U.S. citizens had 
departed by 1700(L) July 22.

2. (C)  Post is working with TF 3 and through DAO channels to 
seek additional airlift for July 22/23 to ease crowding at 
the Fairground.

--825 U.S. citizens are scheduled to arrive July 22 at/about 
1800L in Limassol on the Rahma.  Another 1,000 are scheduled 
to arrive July 23 at 0300L in Limassol on the USS Whidbey 
Island, and 1000 are scheduled to arrive at 1000L in Limassol 
on the Orient Queen. 
 
--A total of 2,608 U.S. citizens have departed Cyprus on U.S. 
charter flights as of 1700 July 22. 
 
PUBLIC AFFAIRS 
 
4. (U)  The Ambassador's interviews with Fox Family and CNN 
went extremely well today.  Reporters congratulated him on 
the Embassy's work on the evacuation.
