1. (C) Ref A requested follow-up re Ref B report of the 
result of Embassy Suva demarches to the Governments of Fiji, 
Kiribati, Nauru, Tonga, and Tuvalu regarding Iran's candidacy 
for the UN Human Rights Council.  While Ref A suggested only 
Tuvalu had already come on board, actually, per Ref B, Fiji, 
Kiribati, Nauru, and Tuvalu all indicated support for the 
U.S. view of the Iran-membership issue.  Per Ref B, Tonga 
will not commit until Foreign Minister Tu'a returns from 
overseas.  We will follow up with him at that time.
