ΒΆ1. (SBU) Poloff passed reftel points to Chutintorn
Gongsakdi, MFA Director of International Economic Policy, and
Katanawadee Kalayanamit from the Peace, Security and
Disarmament Division at MFA. Chutintorn received the points
without comment. Katanawadee said that Thailand does not
plan to demarche the Governments of Brunei, Papua New Guinea
or Vietnam on a bilateral basis to encourage them to conclude
Additional Protocols. However, Thailand does plan on
discussing the issue with those governments within the ASEAN
framework during the February 2006 ASEAN non-proliferation
workshop in Singapore.
