¶1. This is an action request. 
 
¶2.  Pursuant to the Leahy Act and Foreign Assistance Act, post 
requests the Department's assistance in screening the following 
candidate from the Iraqi Security Forces who has been nominated to 
participate in training in the United States. 
 
¶3.  The name of the proposed candidate follows: 
 
NAME:  Abbas Wannas Abbood AL-LITHAWI 
 
POSITION:  Brigadier General/Special Inspections, Inspector General, 
Ministry of Interior 
 
DOB: 01 July 1947 
 
TYPE OF TRAINING: Site visit to observe IG systems and organizations 
incorporating organizational planning, investigations, inspections 
and auditing. 
 
TRAINING LOCATION:  Washington D.C., Arlington, VA
