SUBJECT: JORDAN LEAHY VETTING RESPONSE FOR DEA SPONSORED

1.  (SBU) In response to reftels Leahy vetting request, the 
Department has reviewed its files and finds it possesses 
no credible information of gross violations of human 
rights at this time by the Jordanian officials listed 
below.  Please note that if at any time the Embassy 
becomes aware of information regarding incidents which 
could be deemed to be credible information of a gross 
violation of human rights by these individuals, the 
Embassy should so inform the Department. 
 
2.  (SBU) The following Jordanian Public Security Directorate 
officials have been 
selected to participate in, or are considered alternates for, 
a U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration-sponsored program 
coordinated by DEA's New York Field Office, to begin 
September 16, 2009 in New York.  The names of the candidates 
that follow are listed below 
in "rank, name, city of birth (in Jordan), date of birth" 
format: 
 
          1. MAJ, Ayman Ibrahim Abdelmahdi Al Sarayreh, 
Karak, 6-Nov-1976 
          2. MAJ, Amer Bader Al Deen Mohammad Al Widyan, 
Irbid, 1-Jun-1969 
 
3.  (SBU) Post is permitted to provide the following 
statement to authorized parties:  Embassy verifies that 
the Department of State possesses no credible information 
of gross violations of human rights by the individuals 
identified in paragraph 2 above, as of this date.  Post 
may cite this cable in response.
