1.  (SBU) PolOff spoke with MFA Multilateral Affairs Director 
General Lourdes Puma on August 14 to determine which GOE 
officials would attend UNGA (reftel).  Puma said that 
President Rafael Correa would not be traveling to the U.S., 
that Foreign Minister Fander Falconi would represent Ecuador 
at the UNGA, and that no dates had been confirmed.  Post will 
continue to follow up to confirm Ecuador's attendance. 
 
2.  (SBU) The following is initial information on GOE 
attendance in the format requested in reftel:
