(SBU) Per reftel, Ambassador on May 28 queried MFA Secretary of 
the Americas Department, Ahmed Fituri, on the status of the 
government-to-government agreement for spent nuclear fuel, 
stressing the importance of finalizing the agreement as soon as 
possible.  Fituri said the agreement had moved from the MFA to 
the General Peoples Committee (GPC) (equivalent to the prime 
minister's office), for final approval.
