Understanding cables
Every cable message consists of three parts:
  • The top box shows each cables unique reference number, when and by whom it originally was sent, and what its initial classification was.
  • The middle box contains the header information that is associated with the cable. It includes information about the receiver(s) as well as a general subject.

We delivered demarche in reftel A to gauge Egyptian interest 
in a follow-up Quint dialogue.  The Egyptians reponded on May 
16 that they agree to the idea of holding the next meeting in 
late summer or early fall, noting their understanding from 
the November 2008 meeting that the Jordanians have expressed 
interest in hosting.
