Understanding cables
Every cable message consists of three parts:
  • The top box shows each cables unique reference number, when and by whom it originally was sent, and what its initial classification was.

If you find meaningful or important information in a cable, please link directly to its unique reference number. Linking to a specific paragraph in the body of a cable is also possible by copying the appropriate link (to be found at theparagraph symbol). President Obama's letter to Chancellor Merkel on the launch 
of the Major Economies Forum with the Ministry of Foreign 
Affairs and the Environment Ministry.  Post has been informed 
that Chancellor Merkel has selected Environment Minister 
Sigmar Gabriel as her representative to the MEF, and that he 
will attend the April 27-28 meeting.  The office of Minister 
Gabriel has requested a detailed agenda of the meeting.
