1.  On February 23, Post delivered copies of the letter from Acting 
NMFS Assistant Administrator James Balsinger to Secretary General 
Dr. Widi Pratikto and Director General of Capture Fisheries Dr. Ali 
Supardan of the Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries (MMAF). 
The Secretary General is responsible for coordinating all programs 
and activities within the MMAF, while the Directorate General of 
Capture Fisheries is responsible for licensing and managing the 
activities of Indonesia's fishing fleet.  Dr. Pratikto promised to 
review and comment on the contents of the letter within the 
specified timeframe.
