BACKGROUND

2. The UK Mission to the United Nations in New York has 
bilaterally expressed its desire to propose updates to the 
UNSC Liberia Sanctions Committee's lists of individuals 
subject to the measures imposed by paragraph 4 of UN Security 
Council Resolution 1521 (2003) and paragraph 1 of resolution 
1532 (2004), which include a travel ban and asset freeze.  We 
agree, with one slight modification, to their suggestions, 
and would like to propose additional details for two of the 
individuals.

ACTION REQUEST 
-------------- 
3. USUN is to inform UKUN that we agree to their proposed 
changes to the Liberia sanctions lists, with the modification 
as shown below in paragraph 4.  USUN is requested to 
simultaneously provide the update the U.S. is proposing in 
para 5 below to the UK, and upon UK agreement forward our 
proposal to the UNSC Liberia Sanctions Committee.
