¶1.  The Kyrgyz MFA sent Embassy a diplomatic note with a 
message addressed to Secretary Rice from Foreign Minister 
Karabaev on the occasion of the U.S. Independence Day 
holiday. 
 
¶2.  The text of the English-language message follows: 
 
Your Excellency, 
 
Let me express to you my sincere congratulations on this 
significant event -) celebration of the 232nd anniversary of 
the Declaration of Independence of the United States of 
America, which symbolizes the unity and aspiration for 
freedom of the American nation. 
 
I would like to note that the existing high level of 
cooperation between our countries provides opportunity to 
withstand the global threats and challenges in the modern 
world, combat transnational terrorism and extend economic 
relations. 
 
As before, we will keep on establishing friendly relations 
with your country, based on mutual benefit as one of the main 
priorities in Kyrgyzstan's foreign policy. 
 
Taking this opportunity, I wish you all the successes in your 
professional sphere, as well as further prosperity and 
well-being to the people of the United States of America.
