Understanding cables

MFA Middle East Division Head Irena Vedrickaite told Post 
June 9 that the GOL will not be able to make a financial 
pledge at the Vienna conference June 23, however she did say 
the Lithuanians will be able to offer smaller assistance 
projects to the Lebanese or Palestinians in the region in 
areas such as electioneering, criminal justice, and 
police/border guard training.  Vedrickaite confirmed that the 
GOL will attend the Conference and be represented by 
Ambassador to Austria Giedrius Puodziunas.
