Understanding cables
Every cable message consists of three parts:
  • The top box shows each cables unique reference number, when and by whom it originally was sent, and what its initial classification was.
  • The middle box contains the header information that is associated with the cable. It includes information about the receiver(s) as well as a general subject.

Linking to a specific paragraph in the body of a cable is also possible by copying the appropriate link (to be found at theparagraph symbol). 1. (U) This message is Sensitive But Unclassified--Please 
handle accordingly. 
 
2. (SBU) On June 19, poloff discussed ref A points with Riado 
Sembiring, Head of Peacekeeping Affairs in the Directorate of 
International Security and Disarmament Affairs at the 
Indonesian Department of Foreign Affairs (DEPLU).  Sembiring 
was receptive to U.S. concerns regarding the need to support 
some concrete action against sexual violence in conflict 
situations.  Sembiring said he would forward the U.S. points 
to the other units coordinating Indonesia's position on the 
follow-up to UNSCR 1325 and would ensure they reached the 
Indonesian UN delegation in time for the June 19 thematic 
debate on sexual violence in armed conflict situations. 
 
3.  (SBU)  Foreign Minister Wirajuda is in Kampala for the 
Foreign Ministers Conference of the Organization of the 
Islamic Conference (OIC); PermRep Natalegawa will represent 
Indonesia in the debate.
