¶1. (SBU) Pol-Econ Chief delivered reftel points to MFA 
Western Countries Director Kanat Tursunkulov on June 2. 
Tursunkulov noted that Ministry had our previous demarches in 
support of Ambassador Swing's candidacy, and he said that the 
Ministry would consider our latest points. 
 
¶2. (SBU) On June 5, MFA Department of International 
Organizations and Security Affairs' Marat Moldaliyev told 
Poloff that Ambassador Swing's candidacy is still being 
considered closely.  He said that a diplomatic note would be 
sent to the Embassy before the June 18 election, stating 
Kyrgyzstan's final position.
