1. Embassy Yerevan is pleased to report that the following 
two representatives of the Ministry of Defense will attend 
the June 17-19 Friends of Iraq Conference in Abu Dhabi.  We 
are in contact with the MOD to ensure their registration for 
the conference. 
 
-- General Major Arshalyus Paytyan Deputy Chief of the 
General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia; 
 
-- Major Gevorgian (first name unknown), Senior Officer 
(Interpreter), International Military Cooperation and Defense 
Program Department 
 
2. The MFA would like to send representatives to the 
conference but have inquired about the possibility of 
cost-sharing for their attendance.  Post has sent an email to 
Bill Jensen about this and looks forward to his reply.  Also, 
the Embassy of Armenia in Abu Dhabi may send a representative 
to the conference as well.
