Understanding cables

Linking to a specific paragraph in the body of a cable is also possible by copying the appropriate link (to be found at theparagraph symbol). 1. (SBU) Concerning reftel A request, Embassy The Hague plans 
to host a meeting with Charge d'Affaires and local NGOs that 
are active in promoting human rights in Cuba.  Post will 
approach Washington officials with a proposed DVC or 
telephone interview with a leading Dutch paper ahead of May 
21. 
 
2. (SBU) Concerning reftel B request to contact host 
government, Poloff spoke with the Cuba lead at the Dutch MFA, 
Senior Policy Advisor Jan Jaap Groenemeijer, concerning Dutch 
plans for Cuba Solidarity Day.  FM Verhagen does not plan to 
organie any event, and Groenemeijer was not aware of any 
other plans by the government or NGOs for an evet in the 
Netherlands.
