Understanding cables
Every cable message consists of three parts:
  • The top box shows each cables unique reference number, when and by whom it originally was sent, and what its initial classification was.

If you find meaningful or important information in a cable, please link directly to its unique reference number. Linking to a specific paragraph in the body of a cable is also possible by copying the appropriate link (to be found at theparagraph symbol). ΒΆ1. (U) Per reftel, on 5/14/08, EconOff asked Ministry of 
Foreign Affairs Subdirector General for Bilateral Economic 
Relations, Alejandro Alvargonzalez San Martin, about the 
status of Spain's UNSCR 1803 report and encouraged submission 
as soon as possible, noting that the U.S. had already 
submitted its report.  Alvargonzalez told EconOff on 5/27/08 
that Spain had submitted the report to the UN in New York the 
week of May 19.
