Understanding cables
Every cable message consists of three parts:

  • The middle box contains the header information that is associated with the cable. It includes information about the receiver(s) as well as a general subject.
  • The bottom box presents the body of the cable. The opening can contain a more specific subject, references to other cables (browse by origin to find them) or additional comment. This is followed by the main contents of the cable: a summary, a collection of specific topics and a comment section.

(SBU) PolOff followed up on points described in reftel B
with Grzegorz Kozuba of the MFA,s UN Department. Kozuba
informed us that Poland decided to support the Swiss
candidate for the UN Independent Audit Advisory Committee
(IAAC). He noted that Switzerland agreed to the GOP,s
proposal to enter into a mutual support agreement for
candidates to international organizations. Therefore, the GOP
will support the Swiss candidate for the IAAC while
Switzerland will support the Polish candidate the upcoming
election for the International Maritime Organization.
