Understanding cables
Every cable message consists of three parts:
  • The top box shows each cables unique reference number, when and by whom it originally was sent, and what its initial classification was.

If you find meaningful or important information in a cable, please link directly to its unique reference number. Linking to a specific paragraph in the body of a cable is also possible by copying the appropriate link (to be found at theparagraph symbol). Action Task Force's (FATF) statements on Iran with Ministry 
of Foreign Affairs Political Director Rafael Dezcallar. 
Embassy is also sharing reftel points with Ministry of 
Economy Secretary of State David Vegara's office. 
 
2. Comment: Our sense is that as an FATF leader, Spain will 
do the right thing in terms of following up on FATF guidance, 
but we will check with the technical staff at Spain's 
Financial Intelligence Unit, SEPLAC.
