Understanding cables

If you find meaningful or important information in a cable, please link directly to its unique reference number. Linking to a specific paragraph in the body of a cable is also possible by copying the appropriate link (to be found at theparagraph symbol). ΒΆ1. (SBU) Embassy political officer spoke with Czech desk 
officers for Syria and Lebanon regarding the Special Tribunal 
for Lebanon to try those responsible for the assassination of 
former Prime Minister Rafiq Hariri.  These Czech officials 
indicated that the EU is generally supportive of this 
tribunal.  The Czech government has not made any decision on 
whether it will be able to financially support this tribunal, 
if and when they are approached by the UN, although these 
officials noted that the EU will continue to put pressure on 
Syria to fully cooperate with the tribunal.
