1.  This is an action request - see paragraph 2. 
 
2.  In order to comply with Leahy human rights vetting requirements, 
this cable forwards the names and biodata of four Afghan Ministry of 
Defense officials scheduled to attend two Near East-South Asia 
(NESA) Center Seminars in Washington, DC.  These four officials will 
attend the Executive Seminar from October 27 - November 16, 2007 and 
the Combating Terrorism Seminar from December 5 - 19, 2007.  Post 
possesses no derogatory information on these individuals.  Post 
requests Department's review of these candidates and response by 
September 14, 2007.
