1.  This is an action request - see paragraph 2. 
 
2.  In order to comply with Leahy human rights vetting requirements, 
this cable forwards the names and biodata of two Afghan National 
Security Council (NSC) officials to participate in the Program for 
Advanced Security Studies at the George C. Marshall Center in 
Garmisch, Germany from September 14 to December 7, 2007.  Post 
possesses no derogatory information on these individuals.  Post 
requests Department's review of these candidates and response by 
August 28, 2007.
