Understanding cables

NOTE: This is a revised version of the expenditures for the 
Environmental Law Enforcement Workshop to be held August 15-17 in 
Medellin (Colombia) to reflect a change in the value for coffee 
breaks, refreshments, and lunch for trainees. Please disregard the 
information contained in the referenced cable and use this cable as 
the source for funds. 
 
The following fiscal data is being provided by the Regional 
Environmental Hub for expenditures (detailed below): 
 
19-726/7103715-1008-7a0926-021000-2403-4121 Total expenditures 
should not exceed USD 8,240. 
 
a. Hotel expenses and meals and incidental expenses will be paid for 
6days/5nights for three EPA Trainers (Jorge Urquijo, Ozzie Romero, 
and Frank Garcia; lodging USD 120 per night equal USD 1,800 total 
and M&IE USD 368.50 per person); 4days/3nights for two participants 
from Lima (Alicia Abanto and Luis Domingo Flores Zuniga; lodging 
total equal USD 360 per person; M&IE USD 234.50 for Abanto - SEE 
BELOW for M&IE value for Zuniga); 4days/3nights for Bogota Trainer 
Lida Contreras (lodging USD 360; M&IE USD234.50). Traveler Luis 
Domingo Flores Zuniga will have to sleep in Bogota on the way to 
Medellin (lodging USD135) and in Lima on the way back to Madre de 
Dios (USD 96.75).  The M&IE value for day one is USD 41.25 (3/4 
Bogota per diem), days two, three, and four will be USD67 per day, 
day five is the full per diem for Lima (USD80) since he will be 
sleeping there that night, and day six is USD60 (3/4 Lima per diem). 
 Total for all the above mentioned expenses should not exceed USD 
5,070. 
 
NOTE: Round trip tickets for each of the above mentioned 
participants have been purchased by the Regional Environmental HUB 
Office in Brasilia and have been sent via e-mail to each 
individual. 
 
b. Lunch, coffee breaks and refreshments for 40 people for three 
days should not exceed USD 2020. 
 
c. Cost of reception on first day of event not to exceed USD 1,150.
