Understanding cables

On July 27, poloff delivered reftel demarche to Mame Baba 
Cisse, Director for International Affairs at the Ministry of 
Foreign Affairs.  Cisse said that Senegal has traditionally 
supported Holocaust Remembrance resolutions at the UN General 
Assembly and does not anticipate any major problems in 
supporting UNESCO,s Holocaust Remembrance Resolution.  He 
said that he would also inform the Ministry of Education. 
Cisse then asked for the USG support for the Senegalese 
Minister of Culture, Mr Mame Biram Diouf, who is a candidate 
for the Executive Board of UNESCO
