Understanding cables
Every cable message consists of three parts:

1. This is an action request - see paragraph 2. 
 
2. In order to comply with Leahy vetting requirements, this cable 
forwards the name and biodata of one Afghan National Police officer 
designated to become the new chief of logistics at the Ministry of 
Interior.  Post has reviewed the information available on these 
individuals and has found no derogatory information.  The United 
Nations Assistance Mission - Afghanistan has reviewed the 
information available on these individuals and has found no 
derogatory information.   Request Department response by June 1, 
2007.
