On April 3, Ambassador Begum Taj, Head of the Multilateral 
Affairs Division at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, assured 
Poloff that "Tanzania had no connections whatsoever" to 
Iran's Defense Industries Organization (DIO).  Taj said that 
she would forward DIO's designation to the Ministry ofQFinance and Bank of Tanzania for investigation of any related 
financial relationship and transactions.
