Embassy Madrid is aware of no concerns or objections
regarding the foreign policy implications of reftel grant.
Embassy checked with the two Spanish institutions listed as
participating in the grant award. Dr. Justo Garcia de
Yebenes of the Ramon and Cajal Hospital confirmed that he
leads a team that will work on this project. However, Dr.
Asuncion Martinez of the Jimenez Diaz Foundation indicated
that her foundation would not participate. She indicated
that she understood that Dr. de Yebenes of the Ramon and
Cajal Hospital would participate in the project.
