Understanding cables
Every cable message consists of three parts:
  • The top box shows each cables unique reference number, when and by whom it originally was sent, and what its initial classification was.

If you find meaningful or important information in a cable, please link directly to its unique reference number. Linking to a specific paragraph in the body of a cable is also possible by copying the appropriate link (to be found at theparagraph symbol). 1. MFA Security Policy Director Veronika Smigolova confirmed 
to Poloff on January 5 that the Czech Republic will be 
represented by a Foreign Minister at the January 26 NATO 
ministerial proposed by Secretary Rice. Smigolova noted that, 
despite a possible change of Foreign Minister as part of 
ongoing government formation negotiations (Ref B), whoever 
holds the job on January 26th will participate in Brussels.
