1. This is an action request - see paragraph 2. 
 
2. In order to comply with Leahy vetting requirements, this cable 
forwards the name and biodata of one Afghan National Police officer 
selected to attend the National East South Asia Center (NESA) 
Seminar January 13.  The names of seven other candidates were 
submitted November 19, 2006.  Post has reviewed the information 
available on this individual and has found no derogatory 
information. Request Department response soonest on all eight 
individuals so that travel arrangements can be made.
