Understanding cables
Every cable message consists of three parts:
  • The top box shows each cables unique reference number, when and by whom it originally was sent, and what its initial classification was.

1.  Pol/Econ Chief delivered subject demarche to MFA Deputy Director 
for the Americas Abdel Rahman Sharfi on November 2, with a follow-up 
visit on November 9 and inquiry on November 16. 
 
2.  Sharfi promised to refer the issue to the Department for Asian 
Affairs; Pol/Econ Chief has requested a meeting with the Under 
Secretary for Finance and National Economy to discuss the issue
