Drawing from points conveyed reftel, poloff urged the GOM to
press actively for the full implementation of UNSCR 1701
during a September 13 meeting with Abdel Fattah Kadiri,
Director of UN and International Organizations Affairs at the
Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Stressing that the GOM's "full
political and material support" for the Seniora government
would continue, Kadiri added Morocco shares the U.S. view
that a strong central government was key to restoring
stability and peace to Lebanon.
