(SBU)  Polcouns made reftel points August 19 to Foreign 
Ministry Chief of Staff Dimai Haddad.  Haddad undertook to 
brief FM Abdelillah Al-Khatib, and observed that Jordan and 
the U.S. had identical positions.  Haddad said Al-Khatib was 
concerned over reports that important components - especially 
French -- of a beefed-up UNIFIL might not be available 
promptly.  Haddad confirmed that Khatib planned to fly to 
Cairo August 19 and return to Amman late August 20.
