Understanding cables
Every cable message consists of three parts:
  • The top box shows each cables unique reference number, when and by whom it originally was sent, and what its initial classification was.

1. ( SBU) Post proposes the following Indonesian security 
force member for Department clearance for participation in 
EAP sponsored seminar: Global Transshipment and 
Enforcement: Synergies of Strategic Trace Control and 
Enforcement to commence on July 18.  Post did not find any 
credible evidence of gross violations of human rights by 
the following individual.  The approximate U.S. funding for 
this training is $1,500.00.  While post acknowledges the 
10-day turn around for processing vetting requests (as 
prescribed in reftel), post requests that the Department 
attempt to expedite this participant in order to meet the 
July 18 training date and avoid cancellation of this 
program. Traveller,s air ticket must be issued by July 13 
to avoid cancellation.
