Understanding cables
Every cable message consists of three parts:
  • The top box shows each cables unique reference number, when and by whom it originally was sent, and what its initial classification was.

If you find meaningful or important information in a cable, please link directly to its unique reference number. Linking to a specific paragraph in the body of a cable is also possible by copying the appropriate link (to be found at theparagraph symbol). PolOff delivered reftel demarche and diplomatic note seeking 
support for Ruth Wedgwood's re-election to the U.N. Human 
Rights Committee on June 12 to Iwona Marczyk of the MFA's 
U.N. Department. Marczyk indicated we could expect a response 
to our dipnote in the next one to two months. Marczyk also 
informed us that we will also receive a request from the 
Polish government for support of their candidate, Roman 
Wieruszewski, who is also up for re-election this year.
