Understanding cables
Every cable message consists of three parts:
  • The top box shows each cables unique reference number, when and by whom it originally was sent, and what its initial classification was.
  • The middle box contains the header information that is associated with the cable. It includes information about the receiver(s) as well as a general subject.

If you find meaningful or important information in a cable, please link directly to its unique reference number. Linking to a specific paragraph in the body of a cable is also possible by copying the appropriate link (to be found at theparagraph symbol). 1.  On June 21 post received diplomatic note number 2443 
dated June 21, 2006, requesting USG support for Morocco's 
candidacy for re-election to the Council of the International 
Telecommunications Union (ITU) during the elections that will 
take place during the ITU Plenipotentiary Conference in 
Turkey, November 6-24, 2006. 
 
2.  Post will fax a copy of the diplomatic note with informal 
embassy translation to NEA/MAG. 
 
3.  Note that in Feb. 2006 Morocco requested U.S. support for 
the candidacy of Ms. Najat Rochdi for the post of ITU 
Director of the Office of Telecommunications Development (Ref 
A).
