 1. The following statement is provided to verify the human 
rights vetting process: at this time the Embassy verified 
that Post possesses no credible information of gross human 
rights violations by Major Tawfik Nagi Kaid Al-Bawah of the 
Yemen Coast Guard (YCG). 
 
2.  Additionally the following human rights vetting 
information is provided: 
 
A.  Specific assistance:  DOD will sponsor Major Al-Bawah to 
attend the Ninth Host Nation Coordinators Conference at 
Combined Joint Task Force - Horn of Africa Headquarters in 
Djbouti 30 May - 8 June. 
 
B.  Certifying country team official: Pol/Econ Chief Joey 
Hood. 
 
C.  Current threat assessment: High. 
 
D.  This message grants country team approval on human rights 
vetting requirements for Major Tawfik Nagi Kaid Al-Bawah.
