Understanding cables
Every cable message consists of three parts:
  • The top box shows each cables unique reference number, when and by whom it originally was sent, and what its initial classification was.

ΒΆ1. (U) On May 24 Vice President Taha and his delegation 
traveled to Asmara to discuss the plans for the GNU-Eastern 
Front negotiations with Eritrean President Isaias Afewerki. 
According to the UN and the Dutch Embassy, the GNU and the 
Eastern Front have agreed to begin procedural talks on June 
13 in Asmara. The government radio also announced the date 
of the GNU-East negotiations.
