Understanding cables

MFA's Coordinator for U.S. and Canada Patricia Cortes. 
Cortes recognized the negative consequences of Venezuelan 
Security Council membership and said she would raise the 
issue with Vice Minister Camilo Reyes.  Ambassador Wood spoke 
with Foreign Minister Carolina Barco regarding the importance 
of securing Panamanian support for Guatemala's UN Security 
Council bid on March 30.  Barco said she would call Vice 
President Lewis.
