Understanding cables
Every cable message consists of three parts:

If you find meaningful or important information in a cable, please link directly to its unique reference number. Linking to a specific paragraph in the body of a cable is also possible by copying the appropriate link (to be found at theparagraph symbol). (SBU) Poloff delivered reftel demarche April 10 to Jamal 
Al-Shamayleh, deputy chief of the Foreign Ministry's 
International Organizations Department.  Shamayleh said that 
he would inform Foreign Minister Khatib and contact Suleiman 
Arabiyat from the Foreign Ministry's Arab Affairs Department 
regarding the troop contribution request.  Shamayleh added 
that he would also pass the demarche to the Chief of Staff of 
the Jordanian Armed Forces, General Sarayrah, and Jordan's UN 
permanent representative, Prince Zeid bin Ra'ad.
