Understanding cables

 1.  Mission received a note from the Permanent Mission of 
the Federal Republic of Germany to the United Nations 
requesting USG support for its candidature to the Human 
Rights Council.  The elections will be held in New York in 
May 2006. 
 
2.  Mission will respond that careful consideration will be 
given by the United States to the candidature of the Federal 
Republic of Germany.
