Understanding cables
Every cable message consists of three parts:

If you find meaningful or important information in a cable, please link directly to its unique reference number. Linking to a specific paragraph in the body of a cable is also possible by copying the appropriate link (to be found at theparagraph symbol). (SBU) Poloff delivered reftel demarche March 16, to MFA Human 
Rights Policy Officer Sonja van der Meer.  The Akbar Ganji 
case has a high profile within the EU and has been the 
subject of previous EU statements.  Van der Meer expects 
that, if Ganji is not released on March 17, the EU will issue 
a statement during its March 20 GAERC.  No EU or GONL 
statement will be released March 17.
