Understanding cables
Every cable message consists of three parts:
  • The top box shows each cables unique reference number, when and by whom it originally was sent, and what its initial classification was.
  • The middle box contains the header information that is associated with the cable. It includes information about the receiver(s) as well as a general subject.

If you find meaningful or important information in a cable, please link directly to its unique reference number. Linking to a specific paragraph in the body of a cable is also possible by copying the appropriate link (to be found at theparagraph symbol). 1.  Embassy Kabul welcomes Assistant Secretary Richard A. 
Boucher and Senior Advisor Caitlin Hayden, Bureau of South 
and Central Asian Affairs, and grants country clearance for 
their visit to Afghanistan on April 1-4, 2006, for 
consultations with host government.  Control Officer is Angus

number 011-937-991-40555.  All travelers should bring USG ID 
for identification purposes and to obtain an Embassy ID. 
 
2. Embassy Kabul will provide transportation, security, 
escorts and lodging. 
 
3. Visitors have reservations on the PACTEC flight from Kabul 
to Islamabad. 
 
4. Post assumes travelers have TS security clearance unless 
notified otherwise.
